A NEW PLACE 2 DROWN

“A NEW PLACE 2 DROWN” is an art project recently released by one of my favorite musicians, King Krule (Archy Marshall) and his brother Jack Marshall. Drawing inspirations from their childhood experiences living in South London, the brothers showcased their creative processes through music, visual art, poetry, and a short film produced by Will Robson Scott. In the short film, I am especially interested in seeing moments of King Krule making beats on the MPC, and the two of them creating art together in their home studio. The ANP2D book is now available for purchase on their website as well as a full length album available for streaming on Spotify.

Noritake is one of my favorite Japanese illustrators I have recently discovered. Known for his minimal approach with black and white drawings of everyday objects, Noritake manages to illustrate and create a very strong aesthetic with simple ideas using bold outlines with his water-based felt tip and occasionally the fudepen. Be sure to check out his online shop for a range of everyday products featuring his illustrations.
